Why I Started Jasper’s Creations—and How Love Shapes Every Piece
Grief changes you. It doesn’t ask permission. It arrives quietly, then loudly, then quietly again. It reshapes your days, your thoughts, your sense of time. And sometimes, if you let it, it reshapes your purpose.
That’s what happened to me.
Jasper’s Creations didn’t begin as a business. It began as a way to cope. A way to hold on. A way to keep loving, even after loss.
Creating Through Grief
After losing Jasper, Eddie, Monty, and Becks, I felt hollow, broken, guilty, lost, inconsolable, as they weren’t “just pets.” They were family. Soulmates. Shadows at my feet. Mummy’s boys, well apart from Monty, who was my husbands 'true love' and their absence was deafening and at unexpected times still is.
I needed something to hold. Something that felt like them. Something that reminded me they were still part of me.
Why I Keep Creating
Every piece I make now carries that same intention of my own personal keepsake, something I carry with me always, and at times I find myself stroking my keepsake, providing me comfort, as it carries the fur of Jasper & Eddie. So it’s not about jewellery. It’s about memory. It’s about love.
I know what it means to ache. I know what it means to want something tangible when everything else feels lost. It’s about helping someone else feel a little less alone in their grief. That’s why I work slowly. That’s why I only create one piece at a time. That’s why I listen, gently, to every story shared with me.
When Creativity Becomes Connection
Grief and creativity are both deeply personal. But when they meet, something beautiful happens. A pendant becomes a promise. A charm becomes a comfort. A colour becomes a memory.
And suddenly, you’re not just grieving—you’re honouring. You’re remembering. You’re creating something that says, “You mattered. You still do.”
This Is Why I’m Here
Jasper’s Creations is my way of continuing to love. Not just my boys, but yours. Not just my memories, but yours. It’s a space where grief is welcome, and creativity is a quiet companion.
If you’re grieving, and you don’t know what to do with that empty space, how to help your broken heart, or your thoughts—I understand. I’ve been there. And I’m here, and I hope to provide you with the same comfort in your keepsake as I do mine.
